Question by shortstuff: Where can i get really cheap auto insurance. when i turn 18 I am getting my own car and own insurance.?
I don’t make that much money probably only about 200-300 dollars a month so I wanted to know where i could get the cheapest car insurance in ME. i don’t want to do a car quote now because I am not old enough and I don’t actually have my license and a car now but I would just like an average or what around what the cheapest cost is. Thanks

We can’t tell you; we don’t have rate books here and Maine is a big state. Your best bet to start out with would be the company you’re with now–your parents’–and ask them; they know you and your record. After that, try the Yellow Pages.

What would be best amount of auto & homeowner insurance to have including umbrella coverage in NJ?

Question by DMTF: What would be best amount of auto & homeowner insurance to have including umbrella coverage in NJ?
What would be best amount of total coverage to carry for auto insurance and homeowners insurance including an umbrella policy. I realize claims are skyrocketing, and I don’t presently have an umbrella policy. Would like to know what I should be targeting. Thanks!

Well, no one here knows you! I can tell you what I usually tell people: you take out half million limits on your auto and homeowners, then get the umbrella policy with whatever REAL limits you need. It’s not hard to buy million dollar increments, up to ten million. After that, it can be done, but it’s harder.

You need to have an umbrella policy that covers your assets, PLUS three to five years income. So. Figure out what your stuff is worth, and add your projected income for the next three years, and round up to the next million.

Can an auto insurance company deny coverage for a person convicted of a non-driving related felony?

Question by bluecrane: Can an auto insurance company deny coverage for a person convicted of a non-driving related felony?
Time has been served; now being told that obtaining auto insurance will be difficult. Need transportation to work and continue life in new direction – vicious circle. What, if any, companies might be best to check?

How much auto insurance do I need if I own a home and some other assests?

Question by Stacey M: How much auto insurance do I need if I own a home and some other assests?
My auto insurance company told me that if I’m in an accident and I don’t have enough auto insurance I can be sued and possibly lose my home. I never heard of anyone losing their home because of an auto accident. If I have a good driving record, how much insurance do I really need and can I really lose my home if I don’t have enough? and how do you collect from someone who doesn’t have any insurance? It seems stupid to carry uninsured insurance if I can sue someone for damages.

Technically, that is true, but it sounds like they are trying to scare you into buying a more expensive policy. If they are trying to pressure you into spending more, I would look elsewhere.

Can i bill my medical insurance and auto insurance for personal injury medical claims?

Question by : Can i bill my medical insurance and auto insurance for personal injury medical claims?
My doctor billed my medical insurance for services rendered to me due to a personal injury. I now have a balance due for co pay and deductibles. Can this be included with my settlement? Is it against the law?

If it was related to an auto injury and you live in a no fault state then the person who hit you’s auto insurance should have paid 100%. If you live in a fault state and it’s your responsibility then your auto insurance should have paid for you. If your state doesn’t require insurance then whoever’s fault it was is responsible for paying. Your medical insurance isn’t responsible when it comes to auto accidents unless you have no other way to pay for it. So, short answer is if it’s their fault then yes their responsible for paying the full amount of your medical bills – regardless of whether your medical insurance already has paid it.

How do I know if my auto insurance company is frauding my?

Question by karateface: How do I know if my auto insurance company is frauding my?
My auto insurance company has been charging me fees, rate increases (originally I was told it would be a decrease!), and a whole other mess with the DMV. I have not had any tickets, accidents, or claims. No one has been able to satisfactorily explain to me why this is happening. How do I now if I have a case with the insurance commission/and or a small claims lawsuit?
My main problem is not the rate increase. The insurance company received my payment on time. But, they did not POST it until a few days later. sometime in this period of a few days, the DMV audited the insurance companies system and decided this was a lapse I guess. I had to give the DMV 500.00 or lose my registration. This was 6 months ago. It took us 4 months to get the insurance agent to tell us what really happend (they are good at the runaround game). They said that they had sent the paperwork to the DMV and that we should be getting our check in 30 days as the insurance compay was at fault. This month my insurace is 100.00 more and I called the DMV and they recieved the paperwork, but not a follow up call they were supposed to get. Since I called them, I personally was able to give the OK to send the packet to the refund department. My insurance company says that the extra 100.00 is for “reinstatement of coverage”, coverage I never lost in the first place.

you can visit the company’s official website from where you can know about the insurance procedure / rates etc.

usually the vehicle is insured on the depriciated price and if the same company is continued every year, then they give the no claim bonuses.

There is a unique number called the “Cover Note” number from which you can trakc down your insurance details from the company.

Wish u luck Buddy!!!!

Can a homeowner’s insurance cover an auto stolen because keys were taken from break in to home?

Question by JY: Can a homeowner’s insurance cover an auto stolen because keys were taken from break in to home?
My friends home got broken into and car keys were stolen and with that stole the vehicle. The vehicle only had liability insurance. Now both homeowners and auto insurance are telling them that they won’t pay for that loss. Is this correct in any way? The vehicle has a value of $ 7K. Would obtaining an attorney be helpful?
