Question by d3mon31: how much does motorcycle insurance cost in kansas for a 16 year old driver?
im 15, about to turn 16 and want to get a motorcycle. i only have a few dirtbikes that aren’t street legal and im thinking about getting a 1993 gsx750r this july for my bday. how much would i expect to pay for the insurance? i live in a rural area so it SHOULD cost less right?
i don’t want to give them my social security or my street adress… thats what all of them keep asking.
once again, i will say this only once again. I DON’T WANT TO GIVE THEM MY ADRESS OR MY SOCIAL SECURITY. thats why i am wanting someone to tell me how much THEY pay a month. easy as that.

Yeah – it should cost less technically. I would look online – and compare a few insurance places and get a general idea of how much it costs overall and then pick the cheapest one. I would say its very affordable. Being 16 doesnt help but maintain a B average and your payments will be lowered.

How much would motorcycle insurance cost for a 19 year old male? I am looking at a kawasaki ninja 250r I also have car insurance I have never had a wreck, and I really want a motorcycle but if the insurance is really high then I will have to wait.

They’re harvesting information from you to sell as leads.

Small business insurance can run anywhere from $ 300 a year, to $ 3,000,000 a year, or even more. See, there’s about 25 different TYPES of small business insurance, and each of those has several hundred CLASSES, and each of THOSE has seperate rates, which would be multiplied by the RATING FACTOR, which is determined by the type of business.

So, You’re asking, how long is a string. Well, it depends on a WIDE variety of factors. You’ll need to be WAY more specific.

I want to get a motorcycle and I have a car. I am selling my car and buying the bike. Am not worried about passing the licensing test or anything like that. Am wondering about how much motorcycle insurance runs. Anyone that can help with some examples or ratios in their personal life of how much a bike costs compared to a car?

Your insurance on your first bike will probably be more than your car insurance was. You will save some money if that bike a.) is not a sportbike, b.) has a small-ish motor (less than 1000cc), c.) is used and fairly cheap. Taking the MSF course will also keep your payments down.

As you gain a couple years experience, prove to be a competent rider (no tickets or insurance claims) and get a car again (so you can list your bike as a “recreational vehicle” on your insurance) your rates will go down and could be cheaper than your car.

EDIT: Bear in mind that the people throwing out numbers below are NOT new riders. They are experienced riders with more than one vehicle. Go to Progressive.com or somewhere are run a quote, you’ll see that you’ll be paying much more than what they are.

I am looking a leasing a building that is currently a bed and breakfast cottage. I will do the same thing except not offering breakfast. Wanting to make a business decision but have been waiting for 2 days to be able to obtain a cost for small business insurance. Anyone have some idea on the cost?

I guess it depends on where your located and whats in the business (equipment). I own a Game Center Cafe and it’s about 75 a month. Not bad.

I live in Buffalo NY. My friend and I are thinking about starting a home repair and minor remodeling business. We would do everything from roofing to painting. 2 work vehicles and just the 2 of us as employees. Do not need medical, just liability and Workers Comp.

While workers comp is probably a good idea it isn’t required if just the owners are working. Roofing Work comp is one of the higher cost businesses you could be in.

In addition to the liability insurance you will need insurance for the trucks as well. If they are your own trucks they may not be covered for business use under your personal auto policy.

All that said the easiest way to find out the cost is call 2 or 3 local agents. There is a lot of information that you haven’t posted here they will need to get you a correct quote.

Here are some figures I have seen:

Insurance
-$ 90 – $ 200 a year

Motorcycle gear
- New helmet and gear = +/- $ 800

Motorcycle
- $ 500- $ 20,000 or more

It all depends on the bike and your experience, but…

Insurance: $ 100 – 3000+ a year

Gear: $ 800 is ridiculously cheap. It’s more like $ 1500 – 3000, since this is the worst place to skimp.

Motorcycle: $ 1000 – 20000

Yes I’m under 21, No I don’t have a single ticket , or driving violation . How could insurance on a 500 dollar cherokee cost 290$ a month? In two months thats the value of the car! Its BS there has to be a way to get insurance for cheaper than that. Anybody know of any place? And please don’t say Classic insurance as all of them you have to be 25 or older.

its not just the value of the car that matters. even a $ 500 car can kill someone cause permanent injury or extensive property damage thats why its high
